Basic Term Life and AD&D Insurance
Basic Life Insurance pays your beneficiary a lump sum if you die. AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment) coverage provides a benefit to you if you suffer from loss of a limb, speech, sight, or hearing, or to your beneficiary if you have a fatal accident. The cost of coverage is paid in full by the company. You are automatically enrolled in these coverages administered by Principal.
Voluntary Life and AD&D
While Pathfinder Services provides each full-time employee with a group life insurance policy, some employees may want to purchase additional coverage. Think about your personal circumstances. Are you the sole provider for your household? What other expenses do you expect in the future (for example, college tuition for your child)? Depending on your needs, you may want to consider buying supplemental coverage.
With voluntary life insurance, you are responsible for paying the full cost of coverage through regular payroll deductions.
*You will be able to select in Employee Navigator, how much insurance you'd like in $10,000 increments and the monthly cost will automatically calculate for you!
During Open Enrollment:
We are pleased to announce we are now working with One America to offer you Life and Disability coverage.
During Open Enrollment this year, NEW enrollees and those CURRENTLY enrolled can select voluntary life coverage for themselves and any dependents up to the Guaranteed Issue amount without answering any health questions! If you elect coverage higher than the Guaranteed Issue amount you will be required to answer Evidence of Insurability questions for approval.
Disability Insurance
Group Short-Term Disability
Pathfinder Services offers Company-Paid Short-Term Disability income benefits. Without disability coverage, you and your family may struggle to get by if you miss work due to an injury or illness.
If you become disabled from a non-work-related injury or sickness, disability income benefits will provide a partial replacement of lost income. Please note, though, that you are not eligible to receive Short-Term Disability benefits if you are receiving workers’ compensation benefits.
