Open Enrollment
OPEN ENROLLMENT
Open enrollment is a short period each year when you can make changes to your benefits. This guide will outline all the different benefits Batesville Tool & Die, Inc. offers, so you can identify which offerings are best for you and your family.
Elections made during open enrollment will be effective on December 1, 2025. If you have questions about any of the benefits mentioned in this guide, please reach out to HR.
Changing your benefits?
Outside of open enrollment, you may be able to enroll or make changes to your benefit elections if you experience a qualifying life event (QLE) including:
- Marriage, Divorce
- Birth, Adoption
- Death of Dependent
- Change in Employment Status
- Spouse's Open Enrollment
- Loss of Medicaid or Medicare Eligibility
You must submit your change within 30 days of the event.
Who is eligible for benefits?
You are eligible if you are an active full-time employee working 30 or more hours per week.
Eligible dependents:
- Legal Spouse -only if not offered benefits through their employer
**Working Spouse Rule - Working spouses who are offered benefits through their employer are not eligible for the Batesville Tool & Die plan
- Natural child, stepchild, child placed for adoption up to age 26
- Disabled dependent child over the age of 26 if covered under the plan the day before they turned 26
When can you enroll?
Open enrollment begins on October 28, 2025, and runs through November 4, 2025. No elections will be accepted after November 4th. The benefits you choose during open enrollment will become effective on 12/1/2025.
New hires will be eligible to enroll in benefits the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
