Life insurance can help provide for your loved ones if something were to happen to you. Batesville Tool & Die, Inc. provides full-time employees with Group Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance through Lincoln.

Batesville Tool & Die pays for the full cost of this benefit—meaning you are not responsible for paying any weekly premiums. Contact HR if you would like to update your beneficiary information.

LIFE INSURANCE PRO TIP: Review your beneficiary annually, or any time you have a major life change, to ensure that the right person will receive the life insurance benefit at your death. Dependent children cannot be named beneficiaries, so consider setting up a trust or naming the individual who will care for your dependent child(ren) as your life insurance beneficiary. Contact HR if you would like to update your beneficiary information.

Basic Life and AD&D

Basic Life Insurance pays your beneficiary a lump sum if you die. AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment) coverage provides a benefit to you if you suffer from loss of a limb, speech, sight, or hearing, or to your beneficiary if you have a fatal accident. The cost of coverage is paid in full by the company. You are automatically enrolled in these coverages administered by Lincoln Financial.

Supplemental Life and AD&D

Protecting those you leave behind

While Batesville Tool & Die, Inc. offers basic life insurance, some employees may want to purchase additional coverage. Think about your personal circumstances. Are you the sole provider for your household? What other expenses do you expect in the future (for example, college tuition for your child)? Depending on your needs, you may want to consider buying supplemental coverage.

With voluntary life insurance, you are responsible for paying the full cost of coverage through biweekly payroll deductions

$10,000 Increments to maximum of $300,000
Guaranteed Issue: $150,000
For Spouse*:
$5,000 Increments to maximum of $150,000
Guaranteed Issue: $30,000
For Children**:
Birth to 6 months $1,000
6 months to 26 years increments of $5,000 to maximum of $10,000

*Employee and spouse coverage is subject to reduction beginning at age 65.

**Children are eligible to age 26

Disability Benefits

Voluntary Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurance

Batesville Tool & Die, Inc. offers full-time employees Long-term Disability income benefits. Without disability coverage, you and your family may struggle to get by if you miss work due to an injury or illness.

In the event that you become disabled from a non-work-related injury or sickness, disability income benefits will provide a partial replacement of lost income
