As the year-end busy season approached, our Commercial Insurance team stepped in to quarterback the audit process for one of our clients. By working closely with the carrier and auditor, we ensured all necessary information was provided to meet audit requirements. Thanks to our team's diligence, we reduced the original estimated additional premium from over $4,000 to just $727—a significant savings for the client. Beyond the financial impact, we streamlined the process, creating a smoother, more efficient experience. The client’s gratitude reinforced why we do what we do: delivering results and peace of mind.

66 covered employees, received 15% increase from Anthem, but due to data we received from the employer and a competitive quote, we were able to get Anthem to settle on a -7%; saving them around $34K.
CLIENT B SAVED
IN PREMIUM
57 covered employees, received 49% from UHC Level Funded but after doing some PI work on a cancer case and putting some cost containment vendors in place, we got a SF offer that kept stop loss flat and overall cost increase because of admin fees of just 9%. Ended up being over $300K in premium savings and we'll also get to source a specialty drug through Optimed saving another approximate $40k a year.

IN PREMIUM
50 covered employees, received 29% increase from UHC Level Funded, but was able to get quote from Anthem that improved the plan design and saves the group $95K in premium.

We believe that true partnership means standing by our clients in their time of need. One notable example from 2024 highlights the vital role of our claim advocate, Dereka, in resolving a complex and challenging claim.
A client insured with Travelers experienced significant water damage when the hose on their washing machine disconnected, causing extensive damage across several rooms and rendering their home uninhabitable. As a result, the family had to move into temporary housing. Following the advice of the Travelers adjuster, the family secured comparable housing in the same neighborhood through Airbnb, totaling $12,500 for a two-and-a-half-month stay.
When it came time for reimbursement, however, the adjuster only approved $10,000, citing a lower estimate from their housing vendor for a comparable property. Despite attempts by the insured to resolve the discrepancy with the adjuster and their manager, they were left $2,500 short. Frustrated and uncertain about their next steps, they turned to Dereka for help.
Drawing on her expertise — including her experience as a former Travelers adjuster — Dereka quickly escalated the issue to the Claims Director. She pointed out that the expectations were not clearly set by the adjuster, as the housing vendor should have been involved from the beginning, or a monetary limit should have been communicated upfront. Dereka’s persistence and understanding of the claims process led Travelers to reevaluate the case. Ultimately, they paid the remaining $2,500, ensuring the family was fully reimbursed for their housing costs.
This story is just one example of how we advocate for our clients, using our expertise and determination to achieve fair outcomes. In 2024, our commitment to being more than an insurance provider — to being a trusted partner — continued to set us apart.
